I've made an Ubuntu package which is awaiting feedback and (perhaps)
acceptance. Maybe it could also be submitted to Debian, though I haven't
read through the guidelines for this.

Hello,
I've started packaging efforts on jalview; there they are:
Vcs-Svn: svn://svn.debian.org/svn/pkg-java/trunk/jalview
Vcs-Browser: http://svn.debian.org/viewsvn/pkg-java/trunk/jalview
The package builds and runs fine, but I'm still shipping binary jars
given in the upstream tarball.

Hi Cristoph,
I'm interested in helping with this package.
Today I will have a look at the bugs and see if they are
reproducible against the latest git version.
Is there any additional doc/wiki which I need to read before
starting?
Cheers
Antonio
