IIRC, the "vga=" parameter only affects the settings for VGA text mode. As
you're using a framebuffer this parameter will be ignored.
The control parameter for the framebuffer is given as "video=". I *think*
that you can turn off the framebuffer with "video=none" or "video=vga" - I
can't remember exactly which.

I've use PPPCONFIG to 'Make a new connection'.
What is the command that I need to type in order to connect to the
Internet (via ISP) using normal phone line and also using the
configuration I configured (from PPPCONFIG)?
Are there any equivalent command that function something like "Dial-up

attributes tying to get rid of the (nodomain) part, or at least getting

were equivalent just served up the first one every time. I removed
the *.dyn.ml.org addresses from /etc/hosts, restarted the apache
daemon and web service once again worked as I had intended.
Could this be your problem also?

file. None of this works, and I have (gasp) almost given up hope. Other then

This comes from the majordomo README file... I ran into the same
problems you did trying to create aliases and probably spent as
long as you looking for the answer. I am able to confirm that
it works with Smail 3.2-3

Hi,
What are the default file permissions for /dev/cdrom and /dev/hdc
on Debian? I want ordinary users to be able to access the CDROM drive
but at the moment, /dev/cdrom is readable by everyone but linked to
/dev/hdc which can be read by the disk group. What is the debian way for
this?
