Hi, i have a software raid 1 configuration.
When i need to check the filesystem, does it make sense to fsck the physical
device (/dev/hdXX) or checking the block device /dev/mdX is enough?

for what i read they're both feature-complete, secure and stable.
Does anybody know any substancial difference between them?
I would prefer one that stores emails in single files, to make incremental
backup efficient. Is it supported by exim and/or posftix?

wrong uuid.
i thought that it was just because of the name change (hdd->sda) and
modified the initrd image accordingly, but again i get:
mdadm: cannot open device /dev/sda1: No such device or address
mdadm: /dev/sda1 has wrong uuid.
Please help me get out of kernel panic.

Tcpdump version is 3.8.3-5, the one that comes with Sarge.
The problem happens when postfix does a DNS query but also when i use
host/dig.
Can somebody point me in the right direction?
