I think I remember reading somewhere that because users have 16bit uid's
by default, the maximum is 64k or so (65,536). But you can have 32bit
uid's if you're brave I also believe.

I've compiled 2.4.0 on my potato firewall, and it seems to be booting
nicely. However, there seems to be some issues with the location of the
kernel modules. I'm sure that there are other issues like the support for
netfilter and the reconfiguration of the ipmasq package for that.

Make sure your modutils is up to date with what the kernel expects, you
can find this in /usr/src//Documentation/Changes. This file lists
all the required programs and thier versions to have a working 2.4 system.
The modules for 2.4 are stored in a different hierarchy than 2.2 so your

one account's mail be forwarded on to other users. I have created an account
on the machine for every user.
Is procmail the best way to do it or is there a better way.

24bpp is supported, but it may be worth a try. We trying to get this
chipset working on a Dell Optiplex 110, still trying to get the correct
