I have XF4 running at (I think) 32 as 8,8,8,8 on my TNT2
card. However, to get full use of it, I had to install the special nv
driver.
en corrected in XF86-4? Or should I just stick with the G200?

Hello Raffeale,
Run 'gpmconfig' while in console or X, it doesn't matter. Then at the
end it'll ask you what you want for the 'Repeat' value. Answer 'none'.
Hope that helps,

Hi all
I have an IntelliMouse. I use the imps2 protocol with gpm - all works well.
I send raw data to /dev/gpmdata... Now, if i choose imps2 at xf86setup and
/dev/gpmdata the cursor filps around and nothing works. The same happens if i
use ps2 at xfsetup. I tried to use msc to repeat to /dev/gpm
I have a nice Xfree86 4 server runing on my ATI card thanks to progeny!
Ni, I have run xvidtune, and determined the correct timings, but I don't seem
to be
able to find the correct fiel to put them inot.
What file is it?

I just started using debian (I've been using Redhat for years), and I'm having
trouble with my X-Window system. I installed the 4.0.2 packages from woody,
but noticed that xserver-svga is still 3.3.6 and xserver-common is installed as
both 4.0.2 and 3.3.6. When I run startx with the 3.3.6 XF86Confi
I had stable installed with X (which ever comes with stable), and KDE 2, on my
laptop. Everything running fine
I upgraded to woody, and then installed x 4.0.2. It unistalled KDM, Why? Does
KDM not work with XF86 4.0.2? When I type startx the bare wm comes up, but the
mouse no longer worked

Hello,
I recently moved from stable to testing, and in the process to XF86
(4.0.2-1). The problem that I am having is that fonts/text seem to get
corrupted/not properly refreshed; i.e., when I originally type text
everything is fine, but if I occlude the text (e.g. with another
window) and then

Hi!
Does anyone know how to change the XWindow resolution for FBDev server ?
I'm using a Permedia2 for framebuffer. It's work fine. But when I startup
KDE2
with kdm (XF86 3.3.6), the desktop resolution is very very large virtual
screen.
Could I set the resoltion to
