Now when I boot my machine, I get a xWindows login prompt.
I can't get to a bash prompt to fix my xWindows config.
If I try ctrl+alt+backspace it takes me back to a xWindows login prom
I can't get xwindows to work after a recent reinstall.
"startx" file no longer exists, and I get numerous
error messages. Also, I ended up with xfree86 3.3.6 instead
of 3.3.5
Error messages include:
"update menus:
cannot remove lockfile /var/run/update-menus: pid"
"Errors encountered while process

Edit /etc/X11/Xserver file and put the name of the driver you want to use
there instead of XF8
I am trying to setup XWIndows with one of the configuration programs.
XF86Setup and
xf86config. When I configure with XF86Setup everything works fine but when I
type 'xstart'
I get an error message:
exec of /usr/vin/X11/XF86_NONE failed
How do I solve this? I imagine XF86_NONE is a file I do
