Hi,
the problem is debconf, which has an undeclared dependency on perl5.6,
if you get that to configure the rest will too. At least that's what
did it for me (and a few other folks too I think).
try:
update-alternatives --config perl
and see that perl5.6 is set tobe the default version, if/when
That seemed to install, but it didn't correct the problems with the
other packages in dselect. Many packages install just fine, but those

Yes... problems with woody.
An upgrade a little while ago caused dselect to be upset. The current
errors are reproduced below.
Anyone run into this? have you figured out how to fix it, or is this
one of those times where I should just wait and eventually dselect will
sort itsself out?
