That seemed to install, but it didn't correct the problems with the other packages in dselect. Many packages install just fine, but those 12:
debconf bsdmainutils adduser setserial ifupdown pidentd gmc xbase-clients xserver-common xserver-common-v3 xserver-svga xserver-xfree86 still have plenty of problems.
