Hi All,
I've been having some problems on shutdown. My box goes through the
usual routine but then near the end I get an error message:
Warning can't open file: /var/run/shutdown.pid
(recalled from memory so that might not be exactly the right warning)
and then it prompts for the root password

When I reboot my system (typing reboot), it hangs right when NFS starts
to shutdown.
The message where it hangs is below.
