Hi.
I have problem with proxy arp. The exact problem is that I can't manually add
'pub' arp entries in
arp table. In fact, I can add entry, but new entry doesn't have the mac address
I have specified.
Instead, new entry has mac address 00:00:00:00:00:00. This happens onl
thernet addresss for proxy ARP.
Any hints, or clues? Is it my problem, or the ISPs?
Just some further info, I'm actually living in Japan right now, so this is a
Japanese ISP (Dion). I don't know if they do anything that different, but
I've had no problem using the MacOS to connect,

I've read the documentation about this topic, and I've done (I think)
everything necessary for it works, but still not working...

Edit /etc/ppp/options and comment out the proxyarp option by putting a '#'
in front of it. Let me know
Hello,
Everytime I launch pppd with the pon command I see that the log file reports
something like "Can't determine Ethernet address for proxy ARP."
So far I've been unable to connect my home network to my ISP using IPMasquarade
and the only reason I can think of is th
, connect their
parallel ports. then using plip and proxy arp, i would like to install debian
on my home machine.
do i need a spare ip address for the second machine? any other advice?
regards,
vinny
