here is my situation I have a SMARTII RAID controller which uses the
device name /dev/ida/cXpXdX where X is a variable representing the
contoller, disk and partition.
the paranioa check for a propper /dev/ROOTDEVICE causes liloconfig to barf
line 112 of liloconfig is the cultrate, i commented it
is liloconfig boken in potatoe? After doing an update lilo config is now
complaning that i do not have a propper entry in the /etc/fstab file for a
root device. My /etc/fstab is however, correct.

Hi,
I think Debian should copy Slackware's liloconfig to the distro; it's
simply more useful than Debian's.

You don't say what the compilation warnings were, which make
it difficult to comment, since the warning could be critical.
Secondly, see if you can find a vmlinuz (note the z) file,
which should have been produced if you said make zlilo. This should
be smaller, and if compi

was late when I started doing this stuff and I panicked a little.. :-)
However, I noticed that liloconfig is not included in the lilo package. At
least, I couldn't find it. I managed to copy it off a Slackware CD
