here is my situation I have a SMARTII RAID controller which uses the device name /dev/ida/cXpXdX where X is a variable representing the contoller, disk and partition.
the paranioa check for a propper /dev/ROOTDEVICE causes liloconfig to barf line 112 of liloconfig is the cultrate, i commented it out and everything was just fine. Evan Moore
