I'm using the Summer 1999 Infomagic distribution cd's and chose multicd
access method.
After going through the initial setup and logging in as root I couldn't
find any X11R6 related files anywhere, just empty directories. I tried
again using dselect.
Here's what I get a

The reason they no longer put Debian on their linux toolkit cd's (they
say) is that at 4 cd's it is now too large. So they now have a
SEPARATE debian 4 cd set. The latest (2.1r0x) will be out in August at
$15 (plus postage). You can subscribe for updates at $10 a p

on their Debian CD.
It wasn't complete. It was severely broken. This led to the current system
of "stable" and "unstable", with version numbers only being setup when the
"current" vers

So they didn't test it. I don't suppose a CD publisher who is
distributing other folks' stuff would ever be able to--especially in
the absence of a test suite. Their test should be to deliver a
pre-press CD to Debian for confirmation.

start. '/usr/X11R6/lib' needs to be added to /etc/ld.so.conf
