I don't see so. Package camstream depends on libjpeg62, which is just a dummy

Don't do that if you don't know what you're doing. :)

Hi there. I'm having a problem installing openacs on my sid
system. The problem arises because of bug #84041 with aolserver 3.2-4
which fails during install. To circumvent this problem, I installed
aolserver 3.0rc2-4 available in potato. I then attempted to install
openacs, which correctly installs
Hey
I don't know how to fix this:
I installed the new libc6 version (2.2.1-1) on my potato box. So far
everything went fine, but when I tried to add other packages using dpkg
I get this:
Reading Packae Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree ... Done
You might want to run 'apt-get -f install' to c

Getting the following dependency problem in dselect:
libgdk-pixbuf-gnome2 depends on libgdk-pixbuf2 (= 0.9.0-3)
When I look up the package in dselect is shows:
EIOM Pri Sect PackageInst.verAvail.ver Description

I need to remember to check the bug reports before asking questions like
this. There is a information about this in the gedit bug reports.
I have not done this yet, but it looks like the solution is to recompile
gedit, gtop using my new libesd-alsa0.

I have a mostly potato system with a few newer packages installed. In
particular I have installed newer ALSA packages including
libesd-alsa0_0.2.22-3. The control info for this package indicates that
it "Provides: libesd0". Now when I run "apt-get upgrade" I get the
following error messages:
I don't understand if the following is my fault or is due to something
wrong in dselect. I have just upgraded from potato to woody, and dselect
insists that gedit has unmet dependencies, regarding gdk-imlib1, which is
not the right version. I haven't found the requested version in the Debian
ftp s
For example,if I install a library with the compress tar file instead of
deb ,however, when I install some package in deselect,it will have
dependency problem saying i havn' installed that library becuase I don't
use the deb package ,instead of using force-dependency each time for each

I downloaded the source to angband and compiled it myself, so that I
wouldn't have to install ncurses34. It now works perfectly. I then put
the package on hold, so that my version will not be automatically
replaced. However when I attempt an apt-get dist-upgrade apt wants to
install ncurses34.

Hi!
I'm having a problem; I installed my own inews (mini-inews from Slackware,
which posts directly to NNTP) to get uqwk to work (the inews that came with
Debian requires, for some strange reason, a local news server, which I don't
have). I updated the equivs package to indicate this.
Now, dselec
Either:
1. Use 'apt-get install'
2. Use dselect
3. Use 'dpkg -i' to install both packages at the same time.

Install them simultaneously.
Assuming you downloaded the packages by hand:
dpkg -i libpam0g-util_0.65-0.9.deb libpam0g_0.65-0.9.deb

When I tried to install ppp-pam package I encountered a dependency problem. The
following two packages depend on each other. As a result I cannot get them
properly installed & configured. If somebody knows the solution, please tell
me. TKS.
Package: libpam0g-util
Version: 0.65-0.9

I've done that and it worked!
Thanks for the help.
