Go to http://www.debian.org/doc/ddp and follow link to "Debian
reference" and read my instruction to get out of upgrade hell.

If I were you, I will move /usr/share/applnk/Settings/Sound/arts.desktop
out from current location temporarily and try reinstalling again.

Packageing error, I guess. Check bug report too. :)
