I believe human interface, used by USB mouse, is quite standard. Even Windows
98 has built-in
support. I think 2.4 can do it.

I did make that change and it worked! The other issue was that I was
using a deprecated config routine which was not properly writing to the
XF86Config-4 file. It's now working fine, thanks for the assistance
everyone.

You are not supoused to edit XF86Config manually as it will break the
md5 of it (see top of file) you should use dpkg-reconfig

wil start. I run xf86config but couldn't find the D865GLC.
I have the same problem with the audio chips, i could find a chipset
that i should use.
I'm i overlooking something or
