Actually, it is a problem with Linux, and not with Debian.
AFAIK, Alan Cox said that newer versions of the 2.

We see strange messages in the kernel log, the syslog, and the
xconsole. They read

This happens on several machines, all of which are running potato with a
2.2.17pre6 from the debian kernel source

this is a known problem of linux 2.2.16 and some linux 2.2.17pre's.
update to linux 2.2.17 (or 2.2.18pre, if you want) and this
problem should be solved.
