ver for C86C395 named as for "S3 Savage4 Pro+", not for "S3
Savage4 GT". Maybe it is a problem? These cards have different
properties.
"S3 Savage4 Pro+" was autodetected by RedHat 7.0 installer.
We didn't try to change it.

Yes. The vga16 server works fine; it starts and shuts down without
crashing the system. Only the svga server crashes at shut down. I've
also discovered that I can change window managers without crashing.

behaviour occurs when only basic vga functionality is used, I think that
most cards work with this server fine... it's not a long term solution,
