I am quite sure i got to download an bz2 file while i should have been blocked
by the captive portal. I would have to recheck this on monday morning.
Sure apt would wonder why it most probably was served nd index html file asking
it to identify itself ;)

I have run wget against one mirror and the download went ok, no problem.
I have however found a consistency in the errors, and that is that the machines
that are failing, are all virtual and they all stand on the same virtual switch
in Vmware.
I installed another virtual NIC on one of the
