I've had a long look thru Synaptic ATP gui & can't find this stuff.

thanx guys, that helped installing it, but now it wont run (either as
root or vanilla user)!?!?
Um, it has behaved itself in other distros-but the distros didn't
Any suggestions?

You need a RH 6 compatability library.
apt-get install libstdc++2.9
