thanx guys, that helped installing it, but now it wont run (either as root or vanilla user)!?!?
Um, it has behaved itself in other distros-but the distros didn't....
Any suggestions?

Install the libstdc++2.9-glibc2.1 package. In future you can use the search engine on http://packages.debian.org/ to answer these kinds of questions.Cheers,
