I'm running kernel 2.2.19, but the kernel option may well be there.

Hi George:
One of the times I was compiling the kernel 2.4.x on my machine, I read on
one of the help tabs in menuconfig that there's an option to be enabled if
you get that kind of errors (I guess it might be under PCI options1). Sorry
for not being more specific but I cannot check it right now,

I would suggest:
- incorrectly set power options (sleep)
- hdparm -Y (dangerous!!)
- hardware failure
