Hi George: One of the times I was compiling the kernel 2.4.x on my machine, I read on one of the help tabs in menuconfig that there's an option to be enabled if you get that kind of errors (I guess it might be under PCI options1). Sorry for not being more specific but I cannot check it right now, but I'm sure you can find it and try in on your system.
Hope it helps Pedro Neves ----- Original Message ----- From: "George Karaolides" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <debian-user@lists.debian.org> Sent: Monday, August 27, 2001 5:29 PM Subject: Hard disk messages > > Hi, > > I have installed Debian potato on a couple of boxes with IDE disks. > Sometimes I get the following console message on both boxes: > > hda: status timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy } > hda: no DRQ after issuting WRITE > ide0: reset: Success > > What, if anything, is wrong? > > Best regards, > > George Karaolides 8, Costakis Pantelides St., > tel: +35 79 68 08 86 Strovolos, > email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Nicosia CY 2057, > web: www.karaolides.com Republic of Cyprus > > > > > -- > To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > with a subject of "unsubscribe".
