I am also facing the same problem. I tried xf86config many times...at the end it asks to write changes to /etc/X11/XF86Config. I did startx but it didn't work. Then I copied XF86Config to XF86Config-4 and it works now. But the resolution is still 800x600 even if I remove all other resolutions exce
