Hi all,
I am working on an single board computer (Diamond Systems' Pegasus) running
Debian Lenny with a custom-built kernel for the Pegasus Board, version 2.6.29.
Connected to this board I have a GPIO card (Diamond Systems' GPIO-MM) that is a

I'm running a system with a PNP network card that needs to be up before
/etc/init.d/network executes. I need to execute `isapnp /etc/isapnp.conf'
*before* /etc/modules is read by the kernel (since the network driver cannot

Infact it seems to be the best thing that could have been done. PnP support is
provided beginning
with kernel 2.2 series and slink is by default shipped with 2.0.36
pciutils package

have to install pciutils. BTW I
did not have any problems configuring my SB16 (which I thought was a
vibra), it's a 16 bit ISA card, PNP. Just let pnpdump do it's thing,
edit the dump and then rebuild the kernel with the settings found.
Then tested it with X11Amp (compiled from potatoe sources

Roddie,
I've just configured my SoundBlaster Vibra 16pnp card on Friday.
I started off sending a posting to this newsgroup, compiled a 2.2 kernel,
read plenty of docs and manuals and if you have the some card that is
Vibra 16, than I guess you may be experiencing the same problems I have
experience

i haven't had any trouble with my SB16 Creative ViBRA16C PnP and the OSS
modules in the kernel, except for the occasional "Couldn't allocate DMA
buffer" failure.
When i set it up, i had the numbers writ

I have the same type of card, and rather than fool with the stuff you are
getting into,
Ok guys and gals,
After 9 months of having a mute linux system, I have acquired a real
soundblaster 16 pnp. But, of course I can't get it to make noise.
