rst started using linux, and before I had a serial modem for my linux machine. it worked ok, but I wasn't too happy having to go through a Windows machine to connect to the Internet. Problem resolved now. I now have Smoothwall Express2 installed on an old machine, and with a serial modem, and my 2 machines on the LAN access the Internet through that. Nigel.
