Followup: Nothing I tried, and as the archive of the debian-sparc
mailing list shows nothing that several other people have tried, worked.
I ended up making the rescue.bin and root.bin floppies, and "
boot floppy" worked.

I'm trying to install Debian Woody on a Sparc. I have successfully
gotten the cdrom to boot, but the boot ceases after a little while with

I'm supposed to get a Sparcstation 2, I've found a lot of information at
www.ultralinux.org, and www.sunhelp.org. Both web sites have information
about sun systems... Ultralinux.org discusses all of the Linux
distributions on Sparc machines, hardware supported, etc.
