Concerning G400 config files, could someone send my some X11 config

I have dual head setup working and would like to see what other

Matrox driver into my 2.4.18 kernel. I had the AGP support but no

Your message is not clear as regards whether you can start up the X server
or not. I will assume the latter. I ran into problems myself with the G400
with the 2.2.19pre17 kernel. I think the error message in question is
misleading, as the real problem is elsewhere, possibly with the dri

into a module I'd get dri. Go figure. It seems to work fine in 2.4.14.

I'm following up on my own post of a day or two ago, because a Google
search suggests that the problem I asked about is quite a common one.
It was this: under X 4.0.3 (debian testing) I couldn't get hardware
acceleration enabled for my Matrox G400. The problem was that the
kernel modul
xist, just go in /dev and type :
MAKEDEV agpgart
All this is exactly what I did with my own G400, and it worked. Don't

I have a Matrox G400 32MB card, and run X at 24/32bpp @ 1600x1200, with D

i'm using one as well, which is working beautifull

it won't work under 3.3.6 for you, because I ran it for about a month with
no problems on that.
Thinking maybe I should go get the latest driver from off their website.

I've just bought a new computer and I've choosen a Matrox
Millennium G400 AGP card (as they're one of the most open
source friendly companies out there).
Everything seems to be working fine with my hardware (I've got
