Hi,
I just noticed some of my browser favorites pointing to Debian News (
http://www.debian.org/News/...) are now dead. I seems all news before maybe
2022 have disappeared, while there were not so long ago (a few months
maybe?) archives going back to 1997. URLs like

Try setting up a mail2news gateway. Install inn|inn2, create a local

This list is *EXTREMELY* helpful for any problem a debian user may
have. I personally have never *not* gotten a solution to my problems
posted here, and the solution is usually posted just a few minutes/hours
after I send my help message.
As an aside, I think the sheer volume of people subscribed

Just use Gnus. You can filter debian-user mail into a separate
spool file and have Gnus read it, and

Hi all,
I seriously believe that this and other debian lists are far better
managed both by users and debian, using NewsGroups
rather than mail lists.
Needless to say the resulting heavy traffic will make the
GPLed newsgroup software(s?) the most matured one.
Hoping to news://news.debian.o
We are currently trying to add a section to our News on the web page that

Hello,
Any one know if there is an equivilent debian news group to
this mailing list?
Its just that there is so much stuff coming in that I am swamped.
It would be so much easier to read it with a news reader.
Thanks

A one way Gateway has been set up a while ago at news.fuller.edu. It takes
mailing list traffic from Debian Mailing lists and puts it into the
linux.debian.* groups. Posting into the usenet groups is not sent back to
the linux.debian.* groups to keep mailing lists clear from Usenet junk.
