You might be able to find the problem by taking a look at /var/lib/dpkg/info/kdebase.postrm (or even running this by hand). I've had success in similar situations by removing /var/lib/dpkg/info/* and editing /var/lib/dpkg/info/status to show that package as: Status: purge ok not-installed It's m

Hi, Got a problem removing kdebase. I installed some kde 1.1.1 debs some time ago and since I don't use kde anymore, I decided to remove it. I "purged" all kde packages with dselect but I get following error-message : (here repeated with dpkg) [Mon Sep 18][20:39:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:dewaele# dpkg
