To follow up (I had provided some of this in an earlier post-sorry I
didn't include it in the recent one) This modem is not a winmodem it is
an internal PCI slot modem located at /dev/ttyS4.
I have been unable to figure out how to get it recognized. Looking in
/dev I don't see a /ttyS4 I tried
