I remember having had similar problems with my mutt/wheezy on my laptop.
(My mails are handled by my provider; I use fetchmail to get them.)

I just installed the Debian package exim and it doesn't work! In pine
when I try to send a message I get "421 STMP connection went away!"
Any ideas? It worked perfectly w/ smail...
