Hi
a few days ago I'm trying to operate a card
Technologies Inc R200 BB [Radeon All in Wonder 8500DV]
Use Debian squeeze
I managed to run the ati-driver-installer-8.38.6-4 and generated
x86.x86_64.run
packages. deb and dpkg install.
After having generated this run

Hi Nick,
no plans for tonight yet, is Aki coming too? Should we prepare some dinner?
And when do you want to come?

I would prefer open source drivers, I ask you, if you have any
experience with one of the new free ATI drivers. I’m looking for
a graphic card which can replace the old one mentioned above and has at
least the same 3D capabilities and of course a working driver even if
used in a XEN environment

Hi folks, good day!
Yesterday I've downloaded the latest drivers from ATI
(ati-driver-installer-8.37.6-x86.x86_64.run) for Xorg7.1

I have looked for instructions on updating the ATI drivers in debian
but they are all extremely complicated and way too time consuming for
me. Can anybody please give me a brief explanation or a link to one
that can be done in

the problem is that the 32bit packages that page mentions are
for RedHat/SuSE, I don't know the names of the corresponding Debian packages;
I've installed some packages with similar names, but obviously I'm missing
something, that's why I'm asking for help :)

I had heard people mention looking for ATI drivers
for Linux. I am in no way affiliated with this site, and I have not used
these drivers. I just stumbled across these and want to put them out for
reference. They are about a 1/4 of the way downmaybe
less.

I finally got it working on kernel 2.4.26
I also had to make some cleaning up from the dri-trunk packages, so it
might even work on 2.6.6 now, but if it ain't broken...
But thanks anyway.

Hi,
I've attached my XFree configuration and log file. The problem is that my

The same card worked correctly under Mandrake.
When I run "xvinfo" I get:

The new version is 3.2.5, with versions for Xfree86 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3. I just
installed the drivers and built the new kernel module, and I can already see
that things have improved (no more segfaults when running fgl_glxgear
