Hello!
How to tell Fvwm2 to run Netscape at startup? And how to tell it to
restart Fvwm2, when Netscape is closed? Is there a way for xdm to login
from a script. So I would give username and passwd in one file , so I
will not have to type it in every time?
Thanks!

Hi,
I am having a little difficulty customizing my .fvwm2rc. The
problem is the following:
I cannot seem to define the size or the geometry of my Fvwm
window. The window I am talking about is the one that holds all the panels
that represent the different desktops. You know

Hi, I'm following the directions of the "X Window User HOWTO" at The
Linux Documentation Project and trying to get my window manager fvwm2 to
read the file .fvwm2rc. I moved /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fvwm2/.fvwm2rc
to my home directory as instructed. I used:
cp -p /usr/X11R6/lib/X11

Because fvwm2 doesn't start a shell the command you give above uses
the shell
Hi,
I have a pretty minor question which however is bothering me. I am asking
fvwm2 through a menu definition in .fvwmrc to kill a process with the
command
Exec"Stop It" exec kill -9 $(ps aux | grep xlock | grep
-v grep | awk '{print $2}')
This works in the shell but not from
configure knews. Tell me what you
find.

I'm a little confused by your message, but have you investigated the
.hook files that fvwm2 uses for configuration?

Hi,
I use fvwm2, and it works without real problem. Lots of desktop features are
designed within .fvwm2rc. In other systems, some X local features are designed
within a .Xdefaults file. I did not find any global template for .Xdefaults in
Debian. Nevertheless, I wonder if creating such a file
Hi.
For a long time past, in the ages of Debian 1.1, there
was a default .fvwm2rc, which I like more than the new
one. Can anyone send an attached copy of that original
to me?
Thanks.
