trying to run an app under wine, I get a load of errors. Have any idea

before I installed gnome, I could call up mcedit independently of
Midnight commander. It will no longer come up. This is a drag, since I
would like to use mcedit as my primary editor for a while.

I don't seem to be swapping. the boot messages include "activating
swap", and I have a swap partition, but top shows nothing but zeros in
the swap line. any ideas?

important. I can't get either to windows or my debian partition.
