Goodday
I bought a Gigabyte 7vac motherboard with a AC97 sound codec with the
alc650 realtek chipset. I have a Pioneer 5.1 Prologic amp(VSX series). I
have installed the the motherboard with front audio, thus leaving the
three inputs at the back for surround sound. I have doubled check the

I am currently using proftp as a server. I am still learning scripts. I
was thinking of using a script to help me with my access. I would like
to take the xferlog and firstly takeout all the ip's that have logged
into my server. Then I would like to use host to lookup the ip and then
save under eac
a way to link the networks.
The only we I see that linux can move forward if it offers that which
Windoz offers. If it doesn't, people will keep to that which does, even
thow they know there is better things out there.

possible to access the ssl ftp servers from debian with a GUI like gFTP?

Hi
Debian and all the other distributions like RedHat and SuSe is os's
with consoles(if you can put it like that). It is only the underlying
system on which you work. The graphical interface you are refering to
is a program like the old win 3x. For a beginner I would advise that

Sorry, I know this is not the correct place to post this, but I really
urgently need an answer. Is it possible to create for example 2
classes(each in its own respective file), and include them in the same
package. Then make the one class extended from the other class in the
package?

Hi
On the OpenOffice 1.0 topic, I used the binary to install OpenOffice
1.0 on my Debian(3.0)(kernel 2.4.18). I installed as root and would
just like to know how I can install it so that normal users can use
OpenOffice. I hear something about a paramater sent to installation? Is
this correct?
Thanx alot for the quick reply. It seemed to have done the trick. Enjoy
the day ;-)

While I was trying to correct my samba problems, I accidently wiped
/etc/init.d/samba . I only found this out while using apt-get to
reinstall samba(samba-common installed perfectly). It will not continue
and I suppose that these init scripts come with the debian installation
and not the samba
