stable-updates. My conclusion: you'll have to do this manually, that is,
install the packages you think you'll need using "dpgk -i" or "apt-get install".

Short question:
Is it possible to point apt to dists/stable-upgrades
to update the system with the latest bugfix releases
of all installed packages?
Thanks,
Ruud.
Hi,
I've just tried to update my Hamm system (using the ftp method in dselect) by
appending "dists/stable-updates" to the list of distributions
("/dists/stable/main dists/stable/non-free dists/stable/contrib") to get. The
result was that dselect also selected the m68k version of mutt, although my
whichever script I need. To me, this
is sufficiently "plug&play" since I do not expect to need the modem when
I'm at the office.
By the way: I should have read the NET-3-HOWTO first. I like to thank
the people who answered my question!
Ruud.

fice. Can anyone
tell me how to solve this situation, preferably in such a way that the
eth0 configuration is still intact (to retain a "plug&play" ethernet
connection when I'm at the office)?
Thank you,

Hi,
I'm new to Debian (not to Linux though; I've used RedHat for some time
now). I did a fresh FTP install of Hamm yesterday, choosing the "Sci.
Workstation" profile to avoid/postpone a manual package selection using
dselect. All went okay, except for the emacs20 package.
It won't get installed
