Hi there, I was trying to configure a debian to serve an nfs to my mac. The main problem I encountered was that uids and guids did not match on those computers, so I did not have read-write access I need. Since I did not want to change the guids and gids on any of the machines I decided to use th

rnel is faster if you don't use modules, Iseriously doubt its true and for your case it would work much better-- the module is only loaded once and then its in memory.on Sunday 09/25/2005 Roberto Winter( [EMAIL PROTECTED]) wrote > yeah, I found this: (here: > http://www.lugod.org/mailin

Hi! Thanks a lot for the prompt reply. First of all I do have hci-hcd, ehci-hcd, and usb-storage compiled in the kernel. Not as modules though, but that doesn't make a difference. The thing is that I also hav UB compiled and it is not a module, so I can't simply unload it. Is there a way to tell th

Hi all, I recently ran across some cue+mpc files and found out that there is no program on debian to burn them to disc. This is why I made a (fairly poor, I admit) script to be able to get the information from the cue file and split the mpc file into wavs so that I could record them using, say, cd
