I really don't know what has happened. I upgraded my debian system last
night to unstable, and when I booted today, everything seems broken. For
instance, on bootup, iptables spits out a whole bunch of errors, and I get
this:
'portmapper inactive - RPC services unavailable'

I am starting to have some serious problems with my network card. It
basically works and then it doesn't. I do know that it is a software
not hardware problem.

On the advice of others, I installed CUPS, and have got some results
for my printing problems. There is still something wrong.
With the cups web interface, I can print a test page ok, but when I
sent a normal job from a bash prompt - nothing. Funny thing is:

I am trying to setup a Lexmark Optra M410 laser printer over a small
lan, and have so far come to nothing.
I have used both apsfilter and magicfilter to set up /etc/printcap,
but when I lp or lpr a job, nothing happens.
Can anyone help? This is a native postscript printer

I have tried to remove mysql-server, but dpkg said
that there was an error, and i should reinstall it,
then try again to remove it. When I do, i get:

I upgraded enlightenment from 16.3 (in potato) to 16.4
(woody), and have hit a problem:
After startx, the grey screen comes up and then...
... nothing
I have all the necessary libs. Any suggestions?

Finally, in some places the fonts are a legible size.
Other places the font is so small, it is hard to
distinguish.
