out the video is slightly slower(or more accurately - it's shown a bit
later) than the accompanying sound(the singer opens her mouth a bit
later then you can hear her sing:)).

configuration you're running on localhost. if you running Apache, search
for "AddDefaultCharset" string in your httpd.conf and set it to "Off".

Gosh!! thanks a lot for help. it was a matter of using non-UTF fontset.
I thought i had set every font to Verdana in KDE Control panel, but
actually i let Monospace unchanged and this was the problem as Monospace
is used as a default font in most text editors..

i still can't write some slovak characters in ordinary text editors.
got locales, kde internalisation installed and set.
here's the listing of the current state on my system:

but the sitiation remains the same. i'm still not able to write two of
these characters in KWrite, Kate, Quanta: ľščťžýáíé but as you can see i
can write them all here in Thunderbird..

i use ordinary fonts, i have set the default font in KDE to Verdana. but
i don't think this is a problem neither - i'm able to write all the
characters with Verdana (and other fonts) in OO.org..
what might be helpful to identify the problem? should i source any
config file?

i've got both US and SK (Slovak) keyboard layout installed. but this is
not a matter of missing/bad keyboard layout as i'm able to write all the
characters in OpenOffice.org and only some of them in ordinary
text-editors like Kate, KWrite of Quanta..
