surprised at how many people make mistakes like this each day and get
"stumped" over them... Now then, did you check to see that "ls" points to
/bin/ls (I mean, you might have made an alias like /bin/ls -y or
something)... That co
It is a small bug in the formats of the utmp and wtmp files. Here is a
small list of things you should do to completely upgrade:
1) Upgrade to all the packages in the base/ section
2) cd /var/log
3) mv wtmp wtmp.libc5
4) touch wtmp
5) cd /var/run
5) rm -f utmp
6) cp /dev/null utmp
7) shutdown -r
Boot up with the boot disk, and run /sbin/lilo again.

download the perl_5.004.04-3.deb (not -4.deb) and dpkg --remove perl ;
dpkg -i perl_5.004.04-3.deb then run dselect... Try that, and let me know

Just a little question, has anybody had any problems with the gimp and
hamm? I downloaded the .deb package from va.debian.org and installed it,
all went well, and i installed the gimp-data-min stuff as well. When I
fireup GIMP, no other apps running but afterstep and The GIMP on a box
with 64 megs
per dir /usr/X11R6/lib... Anybody have any ideas on how I
could fix this problem, or???
