Sound on sarge with alsa has been defeating me. (It was working
somewhat when I was using woody, but not since
"upgrading" to sarge. :-) )Here's the situation:
DESCRIPTION: make install gives the following error:

I am trying to get printing services to work under woody. I've
installed LPRng and apsfilter.
An earlier error message indicated that (at least) the printcap file
had an error.
