Since friday 16 in the morning, the ftp servers non-us.debian.org and
security.debian.org are not accessible.
There is a reply to a ping (same address: 132.229.131.40), but no access
for ftp ("could not chdir to .../~/").
I send this mail to the user list; is there a more appropiate mail

Hello, this is a WindowMaker specific question
(potato or woody version)
LyX parameters are handle in a strange way by WindowMaker:
While a mini-window appears the first time lyx is run,
there in no way to post-generate a mini-window for LyX in WindowMaker.
My problem: I lose the default mini-win
Did you receive any advice? (I read your mail about a month later)
About ownership problem: did you install on the client machine the ugidd
deamon (provided by the ugidd package).
This happens to work when you specify the option "map_daemon" for the
related exported files/dirs.
Maybe it will help

Hello,
I currently use lftp to mirror some parts of the debian tree to a local
mirror.
As I stand behind a firewall, my lftp.conf has this line:
set ftp:proxy firewall:21
This is the only tuning done to lftp.conf.
It runs fine (very simple to set up). I want now to give a try to rsync.
