javascript could also do it, and javascript is run entirely on the
client end, so it's more like css/html than perl/php/CGI, but this is (i
believe) the only way to do something like
you want a raw traffic analyzer, you can use mrtg, although it's much
more complicated to set up than webalizer.

i've heard really bad rumblings from some mailing lists that intuit (the
turbotax/quicken people) building in a lot of nasty features into the
newer versions of turbotax/quicken. most people i know are trying
desperatley to move away from turbotax/quicken because of these changes.

assuming you're running a recent kernel, enable the option for "USB Mass
storage controller" in your kernel conf
everything works really well under linux,
and you can get a new one for about $1500. the laptop's exterior is
titanium, which means it feels (and is) really sturdy.

get around _broken_ mailing list software (like whatever
is running lists.debian.org) but this is not standard.
if you are going to be complaining to anyone, you should complain to
whomever runs lists.debian.org, not to the people who accidentially (or
unknowingly) send a "reply to all" whe
