Thank you all guys for helping me figure this out, but the answer was beyond
configuring gpm or X, and it was a lot simpler:
MY MOUSE was not working well!
I changed it for a new one, and voilĂ ! I am working perfectly in both X and
console.

I get a lot of garbage on the screen, so I am sure it is the right device.
