Hello all,
I'm an ex-Debian user who has been using Arch for the past 6 months or
so. Some annoyances with it have prompted to give Sid a shot. I used
testing for years but got fed up of waiting for updates. I have a few
questions.
1. How stable is AMD64 Sid in general? I'd like to hear users'
Hmm..actually AOL does support server side filtering. It only seems to
have problems with subfolders.

If it's IMAP you're after AOL - don't laugh, I'm serious and GMX. I'd
probably recommend AOL though.
Both support.

Google gets your message back from the list server, but it hides it by
default.

It's a Google policy and it makes using mailings lists very difficult
indeed.
You're not using the proprietary ATI driver by any chance are you?

Hello all,
The latest updates to testing upgraded by fglrx drivers to 8.37 which do not
work. I need to know how I can downgrade back to 8.35 which did work.
Unfortunately one of the xorg packages depends on fglrx => 8.37.
Alternatively if anyone knows how to fix Xvideo problems with 8.37 o

Hi there,
does anyone know if there are any plans to replace init with upstart or
something similar in Debian like Ubuntu has? The reason I'm asking is
that I've managed to get my wireless working
via /etc/network/interfaces rather than network-manager-gnome. The
only downside to this is that th

recognise it and 'about:config' has no information about Gnash. If I copy

ose this is how proprietary products become
standards. Free Software is not the be all and end all but it's definitely a
step in the right direction. Many developing countries, not to mention the
OLPC project could not be where they are now without Free Software.

OSS Flash

Am I clutching at straws? We already have Gnash and swfdec but they are as of
yet not fully Flash 9 compatible. Will the Tamarin project be of any use to

You also need to install ipw3945-modules-x

you'll probably need (except html mail). It stores mail in the mh and not mbox
format so it doesn't mess up like Thunderbird / Icedove does if you have a
mailbox with a lot of messages in it. Tried Evolution but found it to be too
slow and unstable.

Why don't you use the isapnp support in the actual kernel (version 2.4.x).
This works a lot better with my modem and with the souncard on my dad's
