Hello all, I found that Iceweasel was consistently freezing when trying to run Javascript if the the package bsh-gcj is installed. This package is a dependency of the openoffice.org-gcj package. Removing bsh-gcj fixes the problem.
I am curious as to which package I should file a bug report against, bsh-gcj or Iceweasel? There are no bug reports against bsh-gcj and I can't find a relevant report in the iceweasel bts entry. I'm using Debian Testing / Lenny AMD64. I can provide any other info if required.
