As far a VJ compression...I think so. In the
/etc/ppp/options file I do not have "-vj" set which, I
believe, disables VJ compression.

Here is a copy of the ppp.log.
dials out
again. I can get about 10 ping sequences going before
it drops.
This modem works fine with a windows machine. I am
running potato on a AMD K-5 100mhz with 48Meg Ram (I
think).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
