Hi, I have an external modem (Hayes Accura 336 V.34) connected to ttyS1. I have configured wvdial and I can call out and establish a ppp connection successfully. However, when I start some network activity (ping an address, get a web page, etc.) the phone line drops and the modem resets and dials out again. I can get about 10 ping sequences going before it drops.
This modem works fine with a windows machine. I am running potato on a AMD K-5 100mhz with 48Meg Ram (I think). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
