Is there any way to force the computer to power itself off
if it's compiled with SMP?

The source package differs in version from the binary; could

please offer a solution to this? I read
somewhere that this program "must" be compiled, but I don't
completely understand why. Also, what is preventing it from
being released as a dpkg? I would like to get it from a
source I 'trust'...
